SCRIBBLE PICNIC ~ Ladybug/Ladybird

When I saw ladybird ~ I immediately thought of a "particular LADY BIRD" so decided on trying a portrait of Lady Bird Johnson. Since I love painting people, I found a photograph of the First Lady during the 60's ~ and used it for my model. Not a very good likeness, but it was sure fun doing it. In reading about her, I see she had the nick name "Lady Bird" since a small child. Our daughter was born in 1963 when LBJ was in office and we started calling her Julie Bird. She didn't like it, but it strikes me funny that she uses it for her email address as an adult....haha.
