THOUGHTS FOR SUNDAY RAGS TO RICHES
"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them and they were terrified. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord....Suddenly a great company of the heavenly hosts appeared with the angel praising God and saying...."Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests". Luke 2:8-14 Shepherds were the lowest on the pay scale. Living with their animals, smelling like them, wearing stained and dirty clothes far from the lights of the city. Yet, on this most monumental night, it was the Hosts of Heaven in their royal garments, shining with the Glory of Heaven that appeared to these humble shepherds. Truly Riches v...
