JULY'S WHIRLWIND JOURNEY
What a month! It started July 1 with a trip to ER and then being admitted to the Hospital for low potassium. Gave him 6 bags and brought it back to normal and sent him home the next day. On the 6th Home Nurse came to take vitals and draw blood. The 7th was the "game changer" as we saw a new doctor who took a very agressive approach to my dearest's "water retention" problem. A new stragedy and a new medication. Don's weight that day was 155.0 Then on the 14th a visit with the cardiologist and a pacer check. His pacer/defib have 7 years of battery left. That's good. With the new medication we saw the new doctor on the 25th and his weight was down to 131.4. More visits from the Home Nurse care to check vitals and draw blood to see potassium levels. Praise God the new meds are holding the potassium levels at normal. As of this morning over 30 pounds of water are off and he looks like a different man ~~"The Thin Man". Breathing better, and ...
