RECIPES FROM ELIZABETH
This is my friend Elizabeth. Most of you know her story and that I've been visiting her, first at her home and then after she fell, in a Assisted Living Facility. She's 98 and I only dream to be as sharp as her. She was so excited when I got my KitchenAid and since it was impossible to show her in person, I took a picture of it and gave it to her on my last visit. Today, when I arrived she had several recipes for me. Here she is with then laying on her lap. They are almost as old as she is. The pages tatted, torn, and faded. She was excited because most of then are bread recipes and she knows I'm anxious to make bread with my new bread hook. There is a bagel recipe, a 5" popover recipe and a "Real" German Chocolate Cake...No mix here, and the Coconut Pecan frosting from scratch. The hard part.
