A FEW MORE BITS AND BOBS

  We spent "Super Bowl" Sunday with our daugher Julie and her family.  They live about 45 minutes away and didn't want me to drive, so they picked us up and delivered us home!! How nice is that?  Julie put on a fabulous spread and we ate and nibbled all day long!  Everyone was for the Forty Niners, except our daughter, and she had been a Kansas City fan for years.  She was miserable the whole game until the last moments when KC came from behind and WON!!  She did a happy dance.  I really didn't care who won, just wanted a good game to watch!! A SCARY 24 HOURS

  A week ago I had a very scary 24 hours.  I thought I had a mini stroke.  I was trying to say something and the words came out scrambled.  I knew what I wanted to say but the words came out different than what my brain was telling them.  This lasted about five minutes and then my speech came back normal.  At first I just said old age and my brain and tongue got twisted.   However, a while later, I began to see circles of light moving across the room and realized that something was difintely wrong.  Besides a dull headache I was in no pain!  Called our daughter and she was unset I hadn't called her when I had the speech problem.  She came immediately and took me to ER.  As soon as I told them the speech problem an the lights they became to run tests.  After EKG, Catscans, etc it was getting close to midnight, so they admitted me so they could do a MRI the next morning.
