That's a lot of slices of pie!!  I tried pumpkin and cherry! So that is my odds and ends for Monday!  Have a great week and don't work too hard getting ready for Turkey Day. My daughters have taken the baton, and I get to just sit back and enjoy the day!!!

ODDS AND ENDS

Beautiful pink roses in our granddaughter Monique's yard. Molly really likes my new Spring sheets! Breakfast with my daughter Julie at the Old Town Bistro in Monrovia.  The cutest little place ever. The Eggs Benedict and Monte Cristo Sandwich was delicious. A new candle from Kirkland Home.   This is my second "Cinnamon Drizzle".   Can't get enough of that wonderful smell. Julie surprised me at breakfast with a gift for my Birthday.  A "twig" Candle Holder with a battery operated candle that you can set to burn 4 hours at a time.  Nice, now I won't burn down the balcony.  HaHa.  Can't wait till this evening to try it. This has been the best Birthday weekend ever.  Now back to daily chores, paying bills and doctors appointments.  Life goes on and I love every day of it.

HIPITY ~ HIPITY ~HOP!

We all love Easter Bunnies and how they hop, hop, hop.  Well when Molly goes up the stairs after our walk, she hops like a bunny rabbit.  I love it.  Today I decided to take a video! Hope you have a Hipity Hopity Day!!

THROW BACK THURSDAY AND OTHER THINGS

Image
For years we have had the tradition of a "Turkey Cake" for Thanksgiving.  A chocolate cake, and the kids would cut out a head and tail feathers out of construction paper.  This is Amanda, probably about 5 years old.   This picture of Amanda was taken Christmas.  She's 21, in college and working.  Where do the years go? We have had so many visitor since we moved to the Treehouse.  I love that our friends can see where we live.  Seems we are in the path from anyone coming from Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm or in this case Lake Arrowhead. We met Tom when we were in Biola College, and he was in Seminary.  Molly has a new friend, Chico! We didn't meet his wife, Juliana until years later when we renewed our friendship.  She was born in Holland and came to US when she was 16. Molly got a new haircut yesterday, and now I can see her cute face.  She loves the balcony and the weather has been so warm she loves to lay ...

Have you tried the white chocolate M&M's in the Spring Colors? This morning a bagel with cream cheese and homemade berry jam on the balcony was extra good.  Can you see the reflection of the trees in my phone? Which animal is real?  Teddy, Bunny or Molly?  Caught her napping in our bed. Our daughter gave us a Harry David gift basket for Christmas and it had a Potato/Corn Chowder mix that I tried this week.  Just add a chopped onion 2 cloves of garlic to the mix, and after 30 minutes of simmering, add a packet and a couple cups of half and half.   It was delicious and gave me a chance use the yellow ruffle soup bowls I had just unpacked for Spring.

ABC WEDNESDAY ~ LETTER "M"

Image
THE LETTER "M" IS FOR "MOLLY"   "My favorite place is a square of sunshine on the couch."   "My next favorite thing is sleeping with my Tiger.  I feel so safe!"     "I love these kittens, and will watch and protect them."       "However, I do not like BIG cats, so stay out of my yard!"   "They think they're going on vacation without ME.  Not a chance ~ I'm not moving!!   We were given Molly as a gift 8 years ago.  Her owner was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and wanted Molly to have a good home.  She is family as you can see from these pictures.  I'm very happy that Edith thought we'd be the perfect family for Molly.   To see a clever introduction by Denise Nesbitt and all the other participants for ABC Wednesday, just click on the ABC Badge on my sidebar.

MOLLY ~ MOLLY ~ MOLLY

Molly has a new toy.  A tiger that looks like Hobbes from "Calvin and Hobbes".   She loves sleeping with her toys.  If you think she's spoiled, you would be correct.  Over the years, raising four children we were never without pets, and life was way to busy to spoil them.  We loved them and cared for them, but none got the treatment Molly gets. I was looking through some pictures, and didn't realize how many  I have of Molly sleeping with her toys.  We've had her 8 years and almost 5 of those in retirement.  She's loved by all the family, and loves when any of them come to visit.   My big sister Donna, me and Sambo (1946)   My love for pets started when I was 5, with a black cocker spaniel, named Sambo.  I enjoyed him being my buddy until I was 17 when I had to give him up.  Some of the saddest days of my young life.  I vowed I'd never love another dog like that, and try as I did, ending up lov...
