CACTUS AND COOKIES
What a blessing to be able to make another road trip to Tucson to see Kris and Ted. There were big ant hills everywhere. It looked like graters on the moon! Those busy little ants getting ready for winter. My friend at church came with a big bag of Persimmons Sunday! Yeah, I've been looking forward to having them. Fresh to eat, pulp for cookies and bread. The bowl of pulp above is from just two ripe persimmons. Going to make cookies when I finish this post. Not everyone likes them, but they are one of my favorites. If you freeze one when it's really ripe, it like eating a "persimmon frostie". Can't believe it's almost time to take down the Fall Decorations and bring in those bins of Christmas!! Where does the time go??? The older I get, the more thankful I am for every day! Today I'm thankful for cactus and cookies!
