LUNCH ON THE BALCONY

  The weather has turn beautiful.  Sunny, gentle breezes and perfect for lunch on the balcony. My dearest is doing so much better and he's getting stronger.  He has his moments when he says "I'm done" and heads to the bedroom to take a nap.  It's rather amazing what a 30-45 minute nap will do. I talked to my sister, and she's home and doing great.  Being faithful with the exercises they gave her to do at home.  Her son built a ramp from the kitchen to the garage so she doesn't have to use steps.  I want to thank all of you for praying for her and our trip to see her.  We plan to take a trip to see her in September as she will be 91 on the 2nd. I had my 6 week follow up from my surgery and everything has healed perfectly and I'm so very thankful for my new lease on life.  Feeling good and looking forward to getting back doing the things I love to do. I'm especially looking forward to the enjoying the pool in the complex.  I told the cooki...

EATING HEALTHY

It's always a challenge to serve healthy, low sodium meals that look good and taste good.  But because of the CHF a low sodium lifestyle is a must!  My dearest enjoyed his meal tonight, and with herbs, garlic, and salt-substitute is was OK!  (I think of that commercial that says..."Just OK is not OK".  In our case, it has to be! HaHa Herb Crusted Tilapia with carrots, red potatoes, onions, squash, bell pepper.  Shh...when my dearest isn't looking, I had to add a little salt to mine.  Remember, I'm not on that restriction...but I don't flaunt it!! I do it discreetly.  HaHa Tomorrow the Speech Therapist will give her last session.  I can't believe it's almost been 4 weeks since the stroke.  The physical therapist has till the end of the month. Pacemaker check on the 23rd to determine exactly how much time is left on the one he has.  We are getting close to the end of it's battery, and then they will schedule a date for the new o...
