SATURDAY SURPRISE
The phone rang. It was my daughter, Michel. "Mom" she said, open the door?" I was standing near the door, and when I opened it ~~There she was, with a big smile on her face. She decided on the spur of the moment to drive over and have a short visit with us. I had just pulled a quiche out of the oven, so we enjoyed some breakfast together. I told her I had planned to take a quick trip to Trader Joe's as I needed a few things from there. She said she had time to take me, so off we went, sharing and laughing and enjoying a chance to get out of the house. While we were there, she insisted I pick out a bouquet for her to send home with me. She knows how I feel about fresh flowers. What a wonderful Saturday Surprise.
