CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW??
Hearing aids have been a part of my life for thirty-two years. My hearing loss is moderate to severe in both ears. It effects millions of people and unless you are the one with the loss of hearing, it's hard to explain to others how difficult it is to manage everyday life. Hearing aids are wonderful, and I've been wearing them for many years. They are now improved and I'm excited that I will be receiving my new ones in a few weeks. My problem is not volume, but clarity. Background noise is the worst, and I've become a good "lip reader". Thank the Lord for caption, it's been a lifesaver for the hard of hearing. I have friends who really need hearing aids, but thy are hard to get used too, and most of the time people just give up if they don't see a significant change immediately.
