A PEEK IN WANDA'S KITCHEN

  Every once in a while I get in the mood for a "Grandma Floy" dinner.  For several generations our family were farmers and meat and potato people.  No fancy gourmet meals but the basics!  Last night we had Old Fashioned Meatloaf, Scalloped Corn and peas.  Her menus included fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans.  Liver and onions and fried potatoes.  Pot roast with onions, carrots and potatoes.  Dad always had to have dessert and some of her favorites to make were, coconut cake, lemon maringe pie, double layer chocolate cake, bread pudding and lemon bars.   You can see I not only ate good growing up, but learned so much working with my mom in the kitchen as a younstger.  My mom loved her kitchen and so do I. Tried something new today.  I was cleaning out the refrigerator and found a carton of strawberries in the back hiding behind some leftovers.  They were really ripe and some had to go.  But I've been read...
