A VERY GOOD DAY

  For years my colors of choice were browns, beige, tan and cremes.  It started way back when it was popular to find out if you were a Summer, Fall or Winter.  With my auburn hair and brown eyes I was declared a "Fall" and wore those colors.   But with Winter this year I was loving all the grays, charcoals and black.  Today at the Thrift Store I found a cute gray top with buttons and tie. (Forever 21 ~ $2.99)  A short sleeve black top with square neckline.  (Coldwater Creek ~ $1.99)  There were two John Grisham books I hadn't read, and can you believe I found both of them today for 50 cents each.   A very good day!   A few weeks ago I won a a giveaway from Monica in Sweden.  It was her 2015 Calendar with her photographs.  It came in the mail this week and is a delightful calendar with shots from her side of the world. PICNICS ~ SURPRISES ~ THRIFT STORES

We had a very busy and fun Valentine's Day.  I had this thought in the back of my mind yesterday.  A Valentine Picnic.  So when I got up and the day was to be full of warmth and sunshine I decided to make it a reality.  Packed little sandwiches of cucumber and creamy Swiss cheese, ham and avocado some fresh strawberries a few chips and some ginger ale. The setting was our local Desconso Gardens.  Found an empty table near the pond in the courtyard for our Valentine Picnic Lunch. There are a few trees beginning to bloom and a nice gentleman took this so we could have one together. If the day couldn't get any better ~ it did!  I was reading a dear friend Martha's blog post about her "sneaky random act of kindness."  Just then the mail lady called my name, and told me I had a package.  When I saw the return address was NY and Martha...I'm sure my jaw dropped to  my knees.  Is that a coincident.  NO I think that was ...
