HEADING HOME

Started our trip home and didn't get stopped once by the police for speeding... HaHa.  I asked Don to pull over so I could get a good picture of this old police car.  What year do you think?  50's? There was also an old caboose at the same stop.  Been a long time since it saw a railroad track! We stopped for a break and to let Molly have some exercise, and I spotted this flowering locust tree.  The smell of the blossoms  brought back a flood of childhood memories as we had two planted in our front yard.  They have thorns like a rose bush.  I remember mowing our lawn with an old push mower and smelling the sweetness of these flowers and the coolness of the grass because I loved mowing it barefoot. I've loved the travels, but home is sounding better every day.

LAST LEG OF THE TRIP

Saying goodbye was sad, leaving the Little Big Man.  It was a precious 2 weeks, but now we have left Oregon and the Coast and heading back to Southern CA.   The Harbor is literally walking distance from Jill's house and the smell of the ocean is one of my favorite smells.   Jaya caught 5 Salmon while we were there and we feasted on it several times. A couple of nights with dear friends where use to live, and a day with my sister then the drive home on Tuesday.  I've loved being with family and friends, but there is no place like home, and I'm looking forward to my own bed and Tree house. Looked for a new laptop in Oregon (so I wouldn't have to pay sales tax) but didn't find what I wanted, so that will be a project when I get home...Sharing Don's is great....but I want my own. HaHa. Love and Hugs

HEADING HOME

It's a beautiful drive, but heading home is so hard.  Leaving little Tristan behind and knowing I won't see him in person for a while.  However, with Skype, I will get to see him often, and watch how he grows.   He's already looking around, so alert, so intelligent.  Must be a family thing, haha.  While he slept I continued to knit, and when he woke up read him his first story book.  I've been reading Psalm 139 and marveling again at Gods creation.  "For you created my inmost being.  You knit me together in my mother's womb...I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. You works are wonderful.  I know that full well."    As I sat knitting, I thought of how my friend Tanna creates marvelous things with her yard and knitting needles.  Intricate patterns that are breath taking...and then looking at our little Tristan, and seeing the intricate patterns of his little face, the tiny fing...
