Cowboy Cookies! Who could resist them. The two pictured here aren't too bad either!! When I think of cowboys, these two always come to mind. In my book, best cowboys ever!I made a batch of Cowboy cookies this afternoon, and took a plate over to the men working in the vacant apartment next to ours. We will be getting new neighbors soon.
The Bible says God does whatever he pleases...I hope it pleases Him to bring us good neighbors. We know they will be seniors, as that is what our section of the Villa is! Nothing like good neighbors.
I googled the recipe for the cookies. They are chucked full of chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, coconut, nuts and a hint of cinnamon. May be my new favorite cookie.

Love them! My mother also tossed in some Rice Krispies and whatever baking bits she had on hand. You are the neighbor to know! The workers must have been surprised that you thought of them.
ReplyDeleteI love texture, so add things to cookie dough too. I have a recipe for "Kitchen Sink" cookies, that have pretzel pieces, crushed potatoe chips and choc. chips and nuts. The workers were very appreciative. Laying wood floor and carpet, hard work.
DeleteThe cookies sound so good. Good looking cowboys too!
ReplyDeleteThey are still handsome in current pictures, only gray...cookies were yummy.
DeleteYou are The Hospitality Queen. I know the workers were blessed and that the Lord will bless you with new friends next door.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually making banana bread for our next door neighbors today too. They have been so helpful and caring. Mike always does our front lawn and of course all the tree removal that he paid for was such a blessing to us. Banana Bread isn't equal value but its the thought from the heart that does count.
Sue
You are a giver and a baker too. Most folks love anything homemade, So much is store bought. I have 4 bananas in the freezer that I need to thaw and make into bread...but not today! Nothing like good neighbors.
DeleteThe cookies look delicious! And that was a very sweet gesture to deliver cookies to the workers. I always want to do that, but feel so awkward, that I usually don't get past just thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteYou know Debbie I've been giving out cookies for most of my adult life. We've lived in this complex 9 years and I'm known as The Cookie Lady so it's not awkward it's just part of what I do
DeleteOh, my goodness! Those cookies sound SO good!! I know the workers were very appreciative! Here's praying for wonderful new neighbors!
ReplyDeleteHi Donna. They are good cookies and they've got a real crunch and I love texture. I think it's the coconut that really sets It Off
