Genesis 2:7  "The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being."

O Dear God, when You formed man in Your image out of the dust of the ground, You were building a temple. And as a creature of the dust, I too am a temple.  You have placed my name above the door and now You stand at the door and knock, waiting for me to invite you in.  Lord of heaven, come and be Lord of this piece of earth.  Come fill this temple with the living breath of Your Holy Spirit.  Make it a place of worship.  Find Your rest within its walls.  Be enthroned on my praises.

Breathe on me,
Breath of God,
Fill me with life anew.
That I may love what Thou dost love
And do what Thou wouldst do.

  1. Happy Sunday, thanks for the prayer.

  2. wanda you are such an inspiration,,

  3. I've been hearing lots of "breath of life" tidbits the past few days, and I've been thinking on how Jesus came to give us life, and that more abundantly.

  4. Beautiful. Made me think of a song that my daughter's group used to sing, "Breathe on me, breath of God come in and change me. You are all I need, Holy Spirit, breathe on me." He really does make all the difference.
