SCRIBBLE PICNIC ~ STRAWBERRY

https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xtpnb6V6tgc/WvOUGcA1OVI/AAAAAAAAOSg/iMxaYHQq1ooLKjsZa4j_ajbwv-hidJ6-ACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0526-mm.jpg

The theme for this week is "Strawberry".  I've missed the past couple of weeks and was anxious to get back in the swing of things so I will gather a basket of strawberries and meet you at the park.

Is there anything better than a juicy ripe strawberry picked right off the vine?

Of course, they make divine smoothies, salads, milkshakes and who hasn't had a box of "Sherie's Berries" chocolate covered strawberries delivered right to your door.

To check out all the other strawberries, just click on my Scribble Picnic badge on the sidebar,

  2. Hi Wanda :)) Oh my gosh, what are "Sherie's Berries"??? Sounds delicious! Your painting is very sweet! I'll meet you at the park and have some of those berries :) Like Linda, I am planting some too. I ordered 12 strawberry roots and I have to get those going today. I am hoping this summer that they will flourish without the squirrels eating them! :)

    1. I thought everyone had tasted Sherrie's Berries. They are huge strawberries covered with dark chocolate, white chocolate, chips, stripes...beautifully decorated and sent in cold pack packages. You should google it!!!

  8. Wow! That is such a gorgeous, succulent bunch. Almost romantic or sensual in their fruity plumpness. I LOVE it and your vine and leaf treatment as well, Wanda. This kind of subject is such your element, isn't it? Fabulous job!

Sooo nice to have you back on our picnic too. I bet you can make a fabulous strawberry and rhubarb goulash or pic too, can't you? Yum!

BTW, whilst this photo taken of your art is better than some (judging from the "levels" I can see in Photoshop), I did download it and adjust accordingly to what I suspect it looks closer too. You know, gotta make you shine, dear! :) So, feel free to get it here and replace accordingly. I also sharpened it a bit too as your signature indicated you were out of focus somewhat. You're welcome, jsut make me some pie whenever one of these days Alex and I get to LA! :) Whee...

Here's your photo...just copy and paste into your web browser URL field:

    Thanks again. Wanda! Adore.

    1. Thanks Michael..I just did. You know I am not any of the digital techniques. I paint, I shoot a picture as best I can...and post. I stand amazed at those other artists that can use so many digital devices. Guess I'm still in the stone age..hahaha.

  10. Pretty--you've captured the entire plant so well! While weeding our patch the other day I had thought that's what I would draw too, but settled on a single berry.

  12. Ahhhh, so Sherrie's Berries are chocolates?! I saw the reference to them in the comments on Andrea's post but haven't heard of them here in Australia. Your strawberry watercolour piece is so beautiful, Wanda. Life can get in the way at times but I'm so glad you are back with us this week. You were missed. xo

  13. You timed your return perfectly for the blooming of the Strawberry season. Your painting is delightful and I agree, nothing better than right off the vine ... besides when we are picking at a farm, I feel like I am getting more than my money's worth if I can gobble down a few extra :)Hope your Mother's Day is a warm and loving experience ...
