Spaghetti Squash

We are hooked on spaghetti squash.  So delicious and better for you than pasta.  I puncture a whole squash and place in the crock pot early afternoon.  After a couple hours I add to sweet Italian saugages to the crock pot and let it cook until tender.  Cut the squash in half leaving it in the shell.
Using a fork pull the flesh away from the shell and add salt and butter.  than I add the Italian sausage that I have cut into bite size pieces.

Add some spaghetti sauce and a little Parmesan cheese and you have a meal in a shell.  Sometimes I add a salad, but this evening we just wanted the squash.

    1. The squash part...maybe not the sauce. But now and then....might be a fun change.

  9. Wanda, That does sound good. My daughter had some zoodles and sausage yesterday. So I think she would like this recipe. I am going to send it to her. Hope you and Hubby are doing well. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  10. We eat spaghetti squash quite a bit. Really like it. I've never made it this way. It sounds easier than the way I do it in the oven. What do you do with the seeds though? That is the toughest part for me, getting all of those seeds out.

    1. Strange, I've never had a problem with seeds. After I cut it into, I take a large spoon and with a rather spinning motion they all come out with a couple of spoon fulls.
