ODDS AND ENDS MONDAY

Are you a fan of Alexander McCall Smith series No. #1 Ladies' Detective Agency?  A new book is out!

Getting ready for the New Year with a 2018 Daily Planner

HaHa! Couldn't resist this little wooden sign at the Thrift Shop.  Yes, I kiss Molly goodnight!
Remember the Persimmons I shared after our trip...some of them became Persimmon bread.  A little one with some leftover batter!!
 Thanksgiving Dinner at Villa Ramona
Each year they serve a full Thanksgiving dinner to all the residents
WOW! That's a lot of slices of pie!!  I tried pumpkin and cherry!

So that is my odds and ends for Monday!  Have a great week and don't work too hard getting ready for Turkey Day.
My daughters have taken the baton, and I get to just sit back and enjoy the day!!!

  2. I’ve never tried persimmon bread but it looks delicious! That is so nice for you and your neighbors to be able to get together for a thanksgiving meal. Did you meet anyone new? Passing the baton sounds like a great idea!

    1. It's very good, and I do it with variations. Sometimes I add cinnamon and it taste more like pumpkin bread, and sometimes just plain. I use my Banana Bread recipe and substitute the persimmon pulp.

  8. I love that your complex does a turkey dinner. How wonderful to share thanks with the neighbors around you. It's also a blessing to have your kids take over the cooking and you just enjoy! Persimmon bread is not anything I ever thought about. It looks very good.

    1. We are so blessed to live here. They have a "Birthday" party once a month to celebrate those residents that have a birthday in that month.
I use my Banana Bread recipe and substitute persimmon pulp for the bananas.

    1. You have to know someone who has persimmons... I wouldn't normally go out and buy them. But fun to make the bread or cookies when someone shares the goods. Happy Thanksgiving.
