BLAME IT ON "HALLMARK"

For the first time in 56 years of marriage have I put up Christmas before Thanksgiving was over.  "Blame it on Hallmark".  My dearest and I have been hooked on Hallmark Christmas Channel and was so into Christmas couldn't wait to get it going.  He helped and we are already enjoying this blessed season.  My Willow Tree Nativity is the real reason for the season.

The kitchen is festive with wonderful smells already coming.

We have a small apartment, so just splashes of Christmas here and there!
Had this little Gingerbread man for more years than I can remember.  He sits and watches me bake.

This apartment is the first time I've had space above the cabinets that I could decorate.

My little chef's are a big part of my kitchen.

Out with the "orange" and in with the "red"... HaHa I have three tea kettles...yellow, black and red.  They change with the seasons and my moods...

My watermelon canisters are year round. how nice they are red and green. haha.

I hope to be the first to wish you a Merry Christmas...gotta run, I see another Hallmark is coming on...

  7. I really love the way The Tree House is decorated. Understated and lovely.
Not quite sure when my "stuff" will happen. I finally got all the special plates, bowls etc. put away up in the cabinets from our 2 Thanksgiving get togethers. I must remember to change the wreath on the door and get the do-dads off the dining room table. Guess it will be by bits and snatches. Dave finally feeling better today. We both slept pretty good last night...what a difference that makes. Love you two.

    1. Your "stuff" will happen just when it needs to be and you are feeling up to it. There is no Christmas Law.. So glad Dave is feeling better. Praying for another good nights rest...maybe even a few sweet dreams. Love you too!

  9. Thanks Linda. When you live in a complex, there are so many rules about what you can and can't do. Especially hanging things. So I keep it simple, but because of YOU, I'm picking up some white lights tomorrow and see if I can spread a little joy!!!

  11. Oh I love your little chefs and your gingerbread man! Does he give you tips in the kitchen? :) I just got out my outside porch decorations and today I'm making an advent calendar. I'm totally into Christmas every year and I love to decorate early! I've already had the Christmas music going when I make my cookies! :)
