  2. Oh yes, several times. The last time was a pot of artichokes happily boiling away and boiled dry before i realized the pot was scorched...actually the chokes were okay though. Pew...the whole house stunk.

    1. So glad your chokes were saved...as you can see ~ my eggs didn't make it. Talk about STINK....Don was at lunch with his friend and I was trying so hard to get the smell out before he got home....hahahahah. It didn't work...he walked in and said..What did you do????? In trouble again hahaha

  3. The last time I did that I was preheating a skillet...a dry skillet that sat on the heat quite a while. Boy, did that thing get hot! The smell alerted me. Ugh. haha.

    1. Good advice...but I wouldn't have heard my timer....the game was to loud and exciting. I just need to stay out of the kitchen when I'm watching baseball.

  7. Wanda,Did the smoke alarm go off? LOL. Once a friend of mine said he put eggs on to boil and took out the trash...he started rake the yard...kept hearing a beeping sound...said he thought it was a truck backing up...I asked him how far did you think that truck was backing up if you heard the beeping for so long. The beeping was his smoke alarm. LOL. Go Dodgers. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. To my amazement, the smoke alarm didn't go off. There was not smoke....just a horrible smell, and a burnt dry pan. If I had put water in the pan it was so hot, I'm sure it would have steamed and set off the alarm. I think I have learned my lesson....let's hope. The Dodgers did win...haha.

  9. Well how about those Dodgers this year, though? Wow! My love and I are diehard Chicago Cub fans, and it was difficult to watch the Dodgers dispense of them so effortlessly a few weeks ago! And yes, I have "overdone" many a meal on the stove when distracted. I'm a danger, haaaahaha. xoxo

  11. Oops! I'll bet they smelled horrible. I can relate to the distracting nature of ballgames. 😉
