SPRING TIME AT THE VILLA

I wish I knew the names of these flowers I'm showing, but I don't.  I just enjoy the colors and fragrance as I walk along the paths.

I think this one is a hibiscus.

This is a close up of the bloom.  A lovely lavender.

These line the pathway to the laundry room and parking lot.
They maintain the grounds so well, that you never see a weed.  Only lovely landscaping.

Another kind of beauty!  This was the cake served at our March Birthday Party at the clubhouse.  A milk cake, with tons of whipped cream frosting and glazed strawberries.  Melts in your mouth!

This is going to be a crazy week, so don't know how much blogging I will be doing.
  • One of the ladies here at the Villa is making a Belated Saint Patrick Day luncheon today at noon.  And I have already started the laundry.
  • Tueday ~ Ugg...my last dental appointment...Hope it's not a root canal....No matter how hard I try...I don't like going to the dentist...
  • The beat goes on...I won't bore you with the rest of my week.
How is your week looking??

  1. Pretty flowers! We have got a ways to go before we see any. Love that lavender shade.
Ooooo... that cake! Yummy in the tummy.
My week is the same as always... not much changes these days although things seem to be improving a bit. I now have a nurse every other day instead of every day.
Yup... the beat goes on... and on... and on... :-)

    1. I can't believe how long you have been "under the weather"......too long. I need to get some international stamps and get some "love notes" off to you! I had to laugh at a friend who says she doesn't send get well cards, because she doesn't want to remind the person they are sick...HaHa.

    2. Aw, you are so kind, Wanda. I love getting cards (your friend is crazy!), but I don't want you to have the trouble/expense of sending them. You are very dear.
I think my situation is something that is going to last for quite a while longer and then two more operations so I just have to wrap my brain around that. If I can!
      Still drooling over that cake!

  2. Wanda, It certainly is pretty around your place. I love all the flowers. Yummy cake. How pretty too. I can absolutely sympathize with you about the dentist. I love my dentist but hate going. Just when I think I am done, something else will pop up. I will be thinking of you and saying a prayer. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  3. What gorgeous flowers even lining the way to the laundry room...that makes the chore a little bit brighter.
Sorry you have more dental work to be done. Its never fun. Hang in there for your busy week.
First challenge for us is getting our tax paper work together and then getting it done before I go to Mexico...the pressure is on. We are also serving at Celebrate Recovery this Friday. Leaders have another commitment. Glad to help out when we can. That also means shopping for the food so I think I will couple it with my own shopping to save another trip out...and so the week flies by...Just 2 weeks till Mexico.

    1. Yes, flower lined pathways. The pool is looking mighty good too. Need a new swimming suit. That hurts almost as much as the dentist. HaHa.
So off to Mexico you go...you are such a trooper and servant!! I love that about you so much. Sure the Lord does too. Hugs.

    1. The Lord planted us in a beautiful setting in our Retirement. Many years living in old parsonages, old plumbing, etc..it was wonderful, and I loved those old houses...but it's nice to be taken care of now. If something needs work, just fill out a work order, no yard work, and close to the grandkids. God is Good!!
