BACK IN THE KITCHEN

Getting back into the swing of things after my month in Oregon hasn't been easy.  I brought home a cold, and still working on getting over it!

I decided instead of corn beef and cabbage, I would make cabbage rolls.  They were really good.  One of the ladies at the Villa is going to make a luncheon on St. Patrick's Day of the traditional corn beef and cabbage, potatoes and carrots.  Can't wait!!

Started a new Women's Bible Study ~ "Becoming a Titus 2 Woman" by Martha Peace.  I really like it!

With this cold I haven't been around to visit all of you, but will be working to visit each of you in the next week.

Hope you feel better. Hate colds that just have you dragging around...ugh.

    1. I think Oregon will look a little different in Summer. This was my only window of time to go. It was GREEN. I'm feeling much better.

  7. I had a feeling you brought home an unwanted souvenier from Oregon. Hope you feel better quickly. Dave and I have been trading the ickies back and forth too. The cabbage rolls sound wonderful. Being in the kitchen is really healing for you...(:0)

  11. I think my husband would like cabbage rolls, and I'm pretty sure I would, so may have to try making them sometime. Sounds by the comments like you're feeling better. Glad to hear it! And our ladies' group will need a new study book soon, so I may take a look at that one.

  12. My thoughts this morning, "Wanda may have a cold, but that will never keep her out of the kitchen." ;)
Those cabbage rolls look so good I could eat one for breakfast!

I went to YouTube to listen to Martha Peace. I like the way she approaches her topics. I know you will love her study.

    1. I'm loving this Bible Study. I think the older women of the church have et the younger ones down, as I don't see much mentoring going on. That was one of my favorite things being a Pastor's Wife was coming along side those young wives and mothers.
That's what the Titus 2 Woman Study is all about.

    1. I bet she uses polish sausage...I think that would be great. Must try it that way. My recipe calls for hamburger.

  14. Hi Wanda....
I make "lazy" cabbage rolls...layers of cabbage, meat and rice. Much easier, and just as darn delicious.
Glad you are over your cold...nasty things!
    Cheers!
    Linda :o)

  15. I just made cabbage rolls on Monday too! I cook for our son's family and made them about a month ago for the first time ever. They loved them and said I should keep them on the "regular rotation list."

  16. I've heard of The Titus 2 Woman. Interested to know how the study goes. I love cabbage just about any way you can fix it... slaw, kraut, sauteed, boiled, etc. Am sure I would love these!
