A NEW COOKIE JAR AND A LOT MORE

I found a new Cookie Jar on sale at Macy's.  It's plastic and has a vacuum seal.  The cookies go pretty fast, but now at least the last on will be fresh!

Yesterday was not so much fun.  I had my appointment with my dentist for my teeth cleaning.  However, with new x-rays they found a cavity that was right on the nerve and I ended up getting a root canal.  Perhaps the good news is, if I had started to feel discomfort while at Jill's that would not have been good.

Something about the "winter" of our lives, our bodies just start falling apart, sagging and creaking.  Just had a hearing aid repaired and that's not cheap either.  I laughed and told my dearest, I didn't expect to put my 401K in my mouth and ears.  HaHa.  But praise the Lord, the resource was available.  I choose to be positive.

The suitcase in on the bed and I've been arranging and re-arranging because I only want to take one on my trip to Jill's.  It rains there most of the time, and I found a London Fog raincoat in perfect condition at the Thrift Shop for $8.  That's a must for the suitcase.

I'm rambling but one more thing.  In case you think there is a mistake on fb because you don't see me....no mistake I deactivated my account.   I will keep my blog, and be more faithful on it when I get back from Oregon.

  2. I am very glad you got that taken care of before your trip because I had an abscess on vacation a couple of years ago and it was so NOT fun. And yes, I always thank the Lord for those resources. Have a wonderful trip and thanks for your visit to my blog today. I'm assuming you're off Facebook because it's not that much fun to look at these days. Ugh. Enjoy your visit with your daughter.

    1. Ouch...a tooth problem on a vacation is surely not fun.

I'm a positive person, always have been, and I can't let the negative things on fb get to me...so deactivated for a while..we'll see. Going to be real busy with Jill and Tristan so it was the right move.

  3. Cookies never last here so I only make them at Christmas. Sorry to hear about the root canal, ouch. Isn't it amazing that Medicare pays nothing for dental, vision (regular), or hearing. And what do most older folks need, dental, vision and hearing help.

    1. Janet you are so right, the very things we need.....but we take life as it comes, and I choose joy, despite the circumstances.

  7. That is a great cookie jar! I just had to have a root canal and it was very pricey. I agree with Mav n Janet, us older folks need dental and vision care! Have fun on your visit!

  8. What a sweet cookie jar. I love clear glass anything! I am sorry that you decided that FB didn't work for you-but I do understand. There has been so much negativity on there lately. It is really discouraging. Have fun on your trip and glad you got your tooth fixed before you ended up having problems while you were gone. Nothing worse than going to a strange dentist (well-there ARE worse things but you know what I mean)...lol Safe travels. xo Diana

    1. I was subjecting my mind to the negative and sometimes vulgar and suggestive posts. Funny how many things stick in you mind...so decided it was something I had control over, so did something about it...deactivated it. If I decide at a later time to go back, I can.
