A NEW PLACE TO BLOG AND A NEW SCREEN SAVER

It still looks like "Fall" at the Villa.  This is the scene from our bedroom window where I have set up a new place to blog.  I have a small desk and it's nice and quiet, unlike the desk in the TV room.

I'm missing this little guy!  Tristan is getting so big.  Now I see him every time I open my computer!!

This has been a hard few months.  Two funerals, one wedding, and one 80th Birthday party for a friend.  Lot's of traveling, lots of miles put under out belt.  But it looks like we are past that and now the baking and preparing for Christmas is on.

Three boxes in the mail and looking forward to lots of family time Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

I am looking forward to a new year.  I don't make resolutions, but I do have a few goals in mind.  I'll share those a little closer to 2017, as they may change...HaHa.
Will try to get around to visiting everyone again this week.  Thanks for all your comments.

  1. The bedroom window looks like the perfect place to use your computer. Beautiful and seeing Tristan every time you open the computer will put a smile on your face. Got my cards finally in the mail today and all the decorating is done. I am half way through making my note card gifts. We have to go to Sigrid's side of the family Christmas party on Saturday. Its in the Bay Area. Long drive but always nic to see everyone. Wednesdate tomorrow, Dentist on Thursday and Amanda's band concert that night. Friday starts the Church's 15 Christmas programs. Dave and I will be again helping set up and serve dinner and snacks to all the volunteers for so many programs. Someplace in that crazy schedule I have to finish shopping and do some cooking too. Whew I made myself tired just talking about it.
Hugs to Don and enjoy the holidays.

    1. And I thought I was busy. Oh my Sue, I forgot how much you and Dave do for your 15 Christmas Programs...wow. I didn't do Christmas cards this year or a letter. Sending love and hugs and don't work TOO HARD.

  5. Wanda, I love your view from your desk. I would probably daydream lots there. Of course I do with a window to my left side here. LOL. You have had a busy time so far into this season. Well it's going to be smelling good there once you start the baking. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  6. What a great view and I love special screen savers like that one. Not a leaf in sight here. Our high temp today is MINUS TEN (F) with wind chill factored in and the wind is howling! Is it Spring yet? xo Diana

Very snowy and cold here, but I love it... 'cause I don't have to drive in it or shovel it! :-)

    1. I like it. A room with a view. Wasn't that a movie title???

I think the snow is so beautiful, but being a native CA. I don't know if I could live in it.....Burrrrr.

  10. Is it still Autumn there? :) What a fab view. And, yes, quiet is always good. I crave that, myself.

Let's hope things settle down for you adn I do hope and pray that those most affected by the losses are taken well care of and comforted no end.

Enjoy your well deserved time with the family too, Wanda. Alex made oatmeal butterscoth and must say, they would do your proud, I'm quite sure!

    1. Yes, still Fall...although everyone has Christmas on their minds. Much love and comfort was given, and we plan to keep in touch.

  11. Well, that is a beautiful view from that window! I love a desk in front of a window, and I enjoy my view of trees and birds so much! Looks like a great new place to blog and surf the net! Want some snow? I'll send you a few inches! haha.

Glad your traveling is over and you can turn to Christmas and getting ready for family. Can't wait to hear your goals a bit later....always fun and inspiring to hear what others are thinking about for the upcoming new year!

    1. I've always envied your "window desk" and didn't realize I had one of my own I had just never thought to use. I'm really loving it.

I wouldn't mind a "little" snow, but I'm not sure I could live in it.

I don't think we ever get to old to have new goals and dreams. I had a couple last year, and two I completed (Reading through the Bible) I have a few more days... and maintaining the weight I lost. It's a good feeling to accomplish a goal at any age, don't you think?

  12. Your little Tristan is the sweetest child. What would we do without Face Time and Skype? Your autumn tree is beautiful! Our leaves were not so lovely...not enough rain, they say.
