A BRAND NEW YEAR

Are you looking forward to a brand new year?  I am.  As I looked back over my 2016 Day Timer, I was amazed all that transpired this year in my life and family.

Birthdays, weddings, funerals, laughter, tears, happiness, illness, pain, pleasure, hurts, forgiveness, travels, reading, blogging, praying, LIVING!!

I think we all can relate to that list, and add many more things that filled our days of 2016.

As you can see from my new header, I have dreams and goals for 2017.  Somethings I want to keep the same, but I want to stretch myself and try some new things too.

How about you?

I'm getting my goals and dreams together and will share them soon.  In the meantine may I wish you a

    1. Yes, we can dream and we can plan, but you are right, sharing God's love and plan is always a goal for every day.

  8. Love the quote by C.S. Lewis. I don't really set yearly goals, but I set daily (and sometimes monthly) ones. My goal for the new year is to get organized and get my home completely cleaned out of junk. That should take about a year. Being retired is a new thing for me and I took this first year to just adjust. Now comes the real thing. My ultimate hope and goal, though, is to grow closer and closer to our Lord Jesus Christ. That's a lifelong goal. Happy 2017 to you!

    1. Kathy, I think all of us have that desire to declutter, and organize our homes. In fact, today while taking down the Christmas decorations, I took some that are not sentimental to the good will. I did the same with a comforter set I have used for years that was in the storage. It's a beginning!!! HaHa

I agree my ultimate goal is to grow closer to my Lord, and bring HIM pleasure by my life.

  9. I am definitely looking forward to a new year. Praying it's a whole lot better for so many around the world. I'm with Kathy in the comment above about getting organized and getting rid of junk. Definitely something I need to work on.

    1. Our world does need prayer, and that is one thing I really want to increase this new year. Ditto on getting organizing, and de-cluttering.
