CHRISTMAS ~ ALMOST

Today I started the transformation from Fall to Christmas~ My dearest brought in my bins.

You can see we've really downsized and only have a small storage area on the balcony for my decorations. (Spring, Fall, Christmas) It's a job to get Fall put away and Christmas out...but you can see I at least have started..(Everything piled on the couch)..

This morning I did take a break to make 6 doz cookies for our "Carols and Cookies" at Church tonight.

The coffee station was the first thing I finished.  Tomorrow I will complete the project.  I do love Christmas.  Was listening to Christmas music while I worked.
You can see Molly was very excited.  She just wanted me to clear off her spot on the couch.

How is your Christmas decorations coming?

  1. I am almost done decorating, Wanda. I got on it the day after Thanksgiving this year. I have downsized a lot, too, and a lot of my Christmas stuff is still in storage...but I have plenty to decorate with.
Have a wonderful rest of the week. xo Diana

    1. Funny how Christmas decorations seem to multiply in the bins. I keep using less and less. But then our little treehouse is small!!!

  2. I am making progress!! Slow and steady and I hope to finish the major stuff by Saturday morning.
Only YOU, Wanda, would consider baking 6 dozen cookies as 'taking a break!!'

  5. Wanda, So funny about Molly. I know what you mean about downsizing. I just told Ted yesterday that I want to give some things to the kids and grands. Like our big outdoor snowman and Santa. Blessings, enjoy the Cookies and Carols.xoxo, Susie

    1. Isn't she funny. She is getting old, 12 last July, and she sleeps a lot, and knows her spots...I was keeping her from her couch nap. For Heaven's sake..she also has two beds. HaHa.

  6. Cookies look good! I'd sing for one! :)

I'm doing my decorations a little each day....trying to do the less is more and quality over quantity. haha. It's all fun! Love your coffee station!

  7. I love your coffee station! It's a nice start. I did my little make-shift mantle (top of cabinet) first. It was my only point of inspiration to begin with. I'm getting there. Downsizing my Christmas stuff was a mistake. Now I wish I had it all back. BooHoo. So, keep it, put in storage or something, but don't get rid of it.

    1. I have done that Bonnie. Given something away, and then wishing I hadn't.
I'm trying to be careful about that!!

    1. Well, thank you ~ I've never been called "Johnny on the Spot". If I had a big home....I wouldn't be this far along..But I sure enjoy the look and the Christmas music.
No shopping yet...but going to the Mall today....

  11. We've finally finished decorating here and hope to put up photos soon. And wow - 6 dozen cookies?! I haven't even started baking yet. But we plan to get a jump-start this weekend at Rachel's house. We volunteered with the boys, to help decorate her house inside/out and bake cookies since she has her hands full with twins at the moment. :)

  12. Such a festive coffee station!
I don't usually do much Christmas decorating and this year may not do any depending on how I am faring. But I am often invited to homes where decorations are plentiful so that will be nice.
Look at Molly! What a sweetie. xo
