PALM TREES AND "FLOURISH"

I love our palm trees.  There are so many here in Southern CA.  These are in the Target parking lot!  Clouds, and a few needed sprinkles...but no big rain!!

Recently, when staying with my friend Sue, she gifted me a wonderful devotional book called "Flourish" ~~ a 52 week devotional with coloring pages.  I'm excited to use it, so picked up a new set of colored pencils the other day.

House will start smelling like Sunday soon as I have a pork roast, carrots and potatoes in the oven.  Oven dinners give me time to enjoy a few extra minutes on the computer.

How is your Tuesday?

    1. Now wouldn't it be something to have frost on our palm trees.

I'm truly going to enjoy my new "color book"

  3. I love that Sunday smell, although our house didn't have one of those unless you count scrambled eggs. Mom and Dad gave up Sunday dinners in favor of visiting Tim every other week. However, dinner at Grandma's ALWAYS smelled like Sunday.

  6. Okay- That does it! This is the THIRD blog I have seen that is talking about the little FLOURISH devotional book. I have to look for one of those!

When we moved to the Midwest from FL one of the things I was so homesick for was the sound of palm trees rustling in the wind..that raspy sound. Hard to explain to anyone that has not heard it.

Hope you have a great night- xo Diana

  7. I recently started just copying scripture passages into a journal, then very simply illustrating them on the facing pages. I may have to start using colored pencils instead of only a pen!

    1. What a great idea. That so personal. I needed to get just regular colored pencils, as my watercolor pencils make a mess if water happens to get on a page.

    1. Yes Bonnie I do. However, beautiful, and stressful, pain and joy, sickness and health are all part of my beautiful life. But hopefully I keep a sweet attitude through it all. Love and Hugs.

  9. I was afraid when we left California that I would miss the palm trees, but we have them here too. Not as tall as California or Florida, but nevertheless palm trees. What a wonderful "coloring" book.

  11. Now I know what I want for Christmas. I would love the Flourish Devotional color book! I must tell Alan so he can order it.

Our trees have turned to the beautiful autumn colors. A heavy rain may bring them down tonight. I hope not.

I love the smell of a roast cooking. It adds all the ambiance that a house needs.

Have a happy day and enjoy those palm trees.

Enjoy your book, I'm going to start mine in November. Got to get some new pencils too.

We are suppose to have rain this weekend, and we are traveling to Bakersfield for Howard's Memorial Service.

I got my new pencils at Michael's, with a coupon they are very reasonable.
