BREAKFAST

Berry Cobbler for Two!   I had my half for breakfast!

I call it "retirement" cooking.  I love making dessert for two.  Why?  Because I could eat a full size berry cobbler by myself.  HaHa.

  1. Brilliant idea to make berry cobbler for two and not the entire recipe. When we want a dessert for 4, as for our Fathers Day celebration we buy a small Blueberry tart from Whole Foods, and the custard is very light, not too sweet. If we buy a large dessert it hangs around tempting us, like you said.

    1. I love to bake and always made the full recipe, and then the weight kept creeping up. With our new healthy lifestyle, we can enjoy dessert without the leftovers tempting us. I like to have mine for breakfast as I have all day to work it off...HaHa

    1. Oh my, yes, the wonderful flavor of apricot cobbler. I guess I could eat my fill of many different flavors. Now I'm off to make some low calorie scones.
      Blessings back to you Susie.

  5. Yes, that is so true...me, too! I try to just make dessert when we have company because if it's in the kitchen calling me, I will come! lol...

I'd eat my piece for breakfast, too! Looks so good!

    1. It's not very hard to make cobbler. Pie crust, fruit, sugar and pinch of flour.

      Sponge cake sounds good too.

    1. Why does dessert taste so good for breakfast? I think it because we have "fasted" all night.
      Hugs back to you.
