CREATIVE TUESDAY ~ STRIPED SOCKS

The theme for Creative Tuesday is "STRIPED SOCKS".  Many pictures came to my mind, but since I love children's books and especially fond of Nursery Rhymes, the "Old Lady who Lived in the Shoe" was what I pondered.  How many socks would she have to wash "having so many children she didn't know what to do".   And  what if they all liked "striped socks".  HaHa

Didn't get out the watercolors this time, but used some colored pencils and black marker.

So see a collection of striped socks and the imagination of the other artists, just click on the CT badge on my side bar.

  6. Wanda, I loved the picture of the socks and the shoe house. I had the minister start our mother eulogy by saying, "There was an old women who lived in a shoe." Anyone knowing that story, knew my mother had soooo many children. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  10. I used to dread the sock matching job. Flip flops are the way to go with a large family.
Love your picture. I think I'll pack my colored pencils.

  14. Yes, she must have a lot of kids as her basket is as high as the door. That is a lot of laundry and yet, as Linda so well noted, everything is matche dup perfectly. A perfect mother for this perfectly charming illo, Wanda. So fun, I love it...especially those really long leg warmer type socks. How fun! Thank you so much for adding this to our collective.
