~MARCH MADNESS~

I know I've been scarce lately on my blog and visiting you dear friends, but March came into our lives like a roaring lion.  The calendar filled up faster than I could write down the events.

Some were with our kids and some were with church, and some were at the Villa.

On Saint Patricks Day, one of the ladies here hosted a Corn Beef and Cabbage luncheon for a group of us that have become good friends.

After lunch we spent a couple hours decorating Easter Bonnets to wear next week at the Easter Party at the Clubhouse for all the residents.  There will be a contest to see who's hat was the most creative.

Today is "tree trimming" day so there are saws buzzing all over the complex...Molly is not happy about it, and keeps barking.  Maybe she due a "4th of July" relaxing pill.  HaHa.

Hope you have a great week.  Can't believe we are only a few days away from Easter.

    1. You would have made a darling one I'm sure. I'm not very crafty, but was satisfied with the end result. Only one small burn from the hot glue gun...why I don't craft..HaHa

  3. The sound of buzz saws drives me crazy, so I'm with Molly. Can you hear me barking? :-)
What fun having a luncheon and decorating hats.
Glad you're not sitting twiddling your thumbs, but hope you also get a chance to relax a bit. xox

  4. What a fun idea! Your hat look marvelous!

Poor Molly....hopefully they have the trimming all done in one day. If not, she might drag your suitcase out and beg for a road trip! haha.

    1. It was fun Betsy. I was pretty please with the end result. You really can't see it, but I hot glued three "real" little birdnests in the scarf. My hat is for the "birds" HaHa

    1. That it is, Christina. Sometimes too "full", but always rich.

  7. I hope your easter w/e goes well, Wanda. Must say, in terms of food, for once, I am not envious of your portion this time around. I really don't like that Irish food. Does anyone actually eat that regularly these days? :)

BTW, what's interesting to note is that several are these women seem possibly retirement age and so are there to do things...but what of the retired men like your hubs? Surely they aren;t making bonnets?! I think if I was there and an older gent, I would feel quite left out from the baked goods, and so on. Maybe someone can start an outdoor chess club? :)

    1. Holy Week and Easter will be busy, but it's my favorite holiday...Resurrection Sunday!! Where would we be without that event!!

As far as Iris food..once a year!!! (for me) and if someone else cooks it. HaHa.

They have Bingo on Fridays for the old gents, but my dearest is not much of a game player. He loves his reading on the balcony and he is a surfer of fb . He has lunch once a week with a dear friend so they can discuss all the "Bible Stuff". He keeps himself pretty busy, actually. He also post on the Daily Prayer Blog.

Thanks for the visit...I love when you stop by.
