RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS CHALLENGE 2016

I'm linking up with Random Acts of Kindness Challenge 2016 hosted by Manu.  Every morning and evening my dearest take our little Shih Tzu, Molly for a walk.  He takes her out of the Villa along the sidewalks outside.  He notices that many people just drop their trash even thought there are several large stone trash barrels along the way.   He decided to take his "picker upper" each day and put in the trash barrels what people left behind.

I think this is a daily RAK and I'm very proud of my dearest for keeping the grounds outside our complex looking nice.

If you would like to join, you can post a RAK each Friday for the month of February.  Just go to cookingmanu for the details.

Have a wonderful day and perhaps you will be the recipiant of a kindness this week.http://cookingmanu.blogspot.com/

  1. What a great idea! And I love that little gadget he has! How nifty is that! This is a gift to everyone of your neighbors...and a wonderful example to adults and children alike. Really cute picture, too! haha...

  2. Wish people would quit tossing their trash along roads, etc. Quite nasty. Good for him!!!

    1. So sad that people don't respect property and won't walk a few steps to use the trash barrels provided. Thanks for the visit.

  3. We need a Keep America Clean campaign again. Some people have become such piggies. I also take my picker upper with me when walking in the neighborhood. It's not pleasant living in a dump. Give your husband another pat on the back. I am sure that there are many who appreciate his efforts.

    1. I think there are a lot of us that see trash and pick it up. I guess being a good example may help.

  4. We were commenting about that the other day as we were riding in the car. So much trash along the way and glass bottles. What are people thinking? Really nice of your husband to do that.

  6. A great RAK from your dearest. Maybe others who see him do this won't be as inclined to litter. One can hope.
I have a grabby too and I love it. So handy.

  7. That is so nice for your hubby to do that. It's just a simple thing that can make a big difference. When I am at the park with my grands we pick up the trash too and toss it.

    1. I did that with my grandkids when they were younger and would spend the weekend and we'd go to the park...always some trash to pick up.

  8. I always picked up trash at the church. Hard to believe that people littered the church yard. My conscience wouldn't let me ignore.

    1. I remember how people would leave trash in front of our church too up North. Especially kids with chip bags or drinks. I guess that's using our servant attitude.

  9. Hi Wanda,
Such a wonderful thing to do, to pick up the trash, he passes by! I also pick up the big things, is there is a trash container close by - something I learned in Girl's Scouts (and I have passed the habit on to our sons :)
Molly looks so pretty - I wish one day, we could also get a dog!
    Blessings to your weekend,
    Nina

  12. People have become so very lazy and uncaring about this beautiful world we live in. Bless your hubby for picking up the trash. I do the same here but have much, much more to clean up. We don't have little laws and as the population increases, so does the garbage. Very depressing at times. Have a good Sunday!

  13. That is great that he does that. I'm always amazed at how people litter--most of all smokers! Why they think throwing out their butts on the road is perfectly fine, I have no idea. It does not dissolve and is gross.

I feel like every weekend at least I do something RAK like but not preplanned. I'm a sucker for buying homeless people food and even teenagers who seem fine food wise but I leave it between them adn God. I jsut want to help when I can. Sometimes I worry I relaly shoudl not as I can;t afford it but then I also believe it all comes around in the long run and better to help others anyway. Good for you both doing RAKs all the time, I know, not just Feb!
