SUNDAY SKETCHES WITH ALEXANDRA

I love lamps.  They are all over our home.  For Sunday Sketches I thought I'd share a few.   Some are big, some are small, some are short and some are tall.

It's usually hard to decide on a sketch because I think it has to be some masterpiece.  How silly, from now on I'm just going to think of it as a "sketch" like the title says and enjoy the simplicity of just sketching things I see around me and things I enjoy.

To see all the other Sunday Sketches with Alexandra just click on the yellow tree badge on my sidebar.

Thanks Alexandra for hosting a place where we can all share our love of art.

    1. You light up my life...that's my motto, and lamps sure help. One of the highlights when I get up is walking through the house turning on lamps. Have a great day.

  6. Fabulous sketch of your lamps and I agree, sketching is just that and not meant to be a masterpiece.

    1. Well Christine, you just made my day. They are each very special to me. The first one is very old and belonged to my dearest's mother and is very beautifully detailed in gold trim.

    1. Thanks Stefanie...I really appreciate your sharing my thoughts on you blog. I think I like to do the narrative as much as the painting. They all have a story, don't they?

  19. Wanda, I think you could start next week with a combo of A&B.
It just came to me...the word Alone and thought those photos worked. I hadn't posted them before. Doing a letter a week does help me look at the world a bit differently but I don't know if I can keep it up the whole way through the alphabet. You have so many posts everyday. I don't know how you do it.

    1. After I wrote that question to you....I did some soul searching of my own....and I will not be putting another item on my plate. I so good at doing that, and then being sorry I committed. So I'll enjoy yours when you do them...no pressure..just do it as long as you enjoy it. Hugs.
