IT'S A WRAP!!

Our family has grown to the point that we exchange names with the adults and buy for the little ones.  Got my exchange gift and the grandchildren's wrapped last night.

This morning, after a cup of coffee, have cookie dough in the refrigerator for chocolate chip, snicker doodle, and oatmeal cookies.  Will bake them early tomorrow morning.

I love getting a few things done ahead, because it never fails, something will turn up at the last minute that demands your attention.

I bought a couple bunches of bananas last week, and they are all freckled and ready to mash for banana bread.

Why am I doing all this baking, you ask???   Since we don't give gifts to everyone, I like to give a "Goodie Basket" to each family.  That my gift of love and sugar!!! HaHa.

  2. You are the human dynamo. I bet your family can't wait for those goodie baskets. Today we are off from the volunteering for the multiple Christmas programs. Dave and I have done 7 services...3 more to go tomorrow. So today I have to do everything for Christmas here at our house. Dave and I still fighting colds and boy does it slow us down. Love you and will keep you posted on "life".

  4. A goodie basket sounds great! I make cookies and bag them in a dozen then give them out at our Christmas Eve service to whoever is there. Baking is always appreciated.

  11. We've done basket gifts for several years now. I hope my kids love them as much as I loved the ones made for me. I am a bit disappointed though, in my lack of homemade crafty gifts this time, but we're more than making up for it with other things. (They'll be all sweetened up after this!)

  13. I'm all for getting things done early, too! Procrastinating is almost like inviting some calamity or emergency to happen last minute! haha. It just wouldn't feel like Christmas if we ladies didn't bake up a few things, would it? I love it...it's a joy to do and makes the house smell wonderful, too!
