A TOUCH OF CHRISTMAS

  •  I have many Nativity Scenes, but not much room to display them, so this year I chose to put the Willow Tree Nativity on the coffee table along with our Christmas Advent Devotional.
  •   The top of the hutch has a nice Christmas swag.
  • My snowmen are on top of the microwave.
  • The white Thanksgiving pumpkin, is now for Christmas.

  • The table set with new Christmas place mats and napkins.
  • The Stella Rose wine bottles are dressed for Christmas.
  • Old Saint Nick holding a wreath and a doggie. (no it's not Molly)  HaHa

  • A peek in the bathroom.  Lot's of red and green.
  • Christmas towels I've had for years. (come out at Christmas)
  • Never had a shelf to decorate in my bathroom.  Nice!
There is more, but just been very busy with family, church and Villa events.  Having a Holiday Tea next week in the clubhouse and had to unpack six hatboxes of teacups and teapots, creamers and sugars, and get it all washed.  Wow...I had forgotten just how much stuff I had packed away.

Also just finished the January Newsletter for the Villa as the deadline is December 15th.

How is your Christmas schedule coming?

    1. My daughter won it at a raffle and didn't want him. I liked him because he looks more like the Original Saint Nicolas.

    1. Some of these ladies have never been to a tea party, so it should be lot of fun. Little tea sandwiches, scones, coffee cake, cream puffs and fruit. A big assortment of teas.

  4. Love all the red! I think it's all quite lovely and the nativity on the coffee table gives it prominence. Can't wait to see pics of your tea party because I know it will be beautiful and the food will be delicious.
I did my decorating yesterday and cut back on what I brought out. Have taken care of the kids' gifts and just waiting for them to arrive.

    1. I have many and when we lived in the parsonage, I had room and places to display all of them.

We draw names for the adults...and 99% of our grandchildren are teenagers or adults. The great grandsons and our little Tristan I'll buy for.

    1. It is fun to visit homes around the world through blogging. Love that. I love decorating my bathroom. Most of the year, it's in shades of blues.

  7. I love seeing YOUR treasures!!! Still decorating here! I must be some kind of crazy to do as much as I do - but if no one else but I saw it - I would still decorate! I hope I can do this for a long long time. I am hosting a Cup of Christmas Tea on the 15th and have invited 110 ladies!! Not all of them will or can come - but it's still nice to think of having that many friends to invite!
Looking forward to seeing what all you do this month!! It is so fun to visit you!

    1. We don't entertain much at all here...and I, like you, decorate for ME and my dearest of course. I just love getting up and walking through the house, lighting candles and smelling coffee.

      Wow...talk about a tea party...110. I'm sorry I won't be able to make it.

We should have 15 or so at ours. Many of the residents here are Spanish, and are not English speaking, so don't show up for some of the events.

      Should be fun.....I'll take pictures.

    1. Yes, we do pop red and green. My daughter won Mr. Santa at a raffle and didn't want him. I think he looks like the Old Saint Nick!
Blessing to you and your loved one this beautiful season.

  10. You're one busy lady and seem to be fully prepared! :) I don't have much of a schedule, no big parties to prepare for, so I just take out a few things every now and then when I feel like it :)

    1. I'm a list maker and check things off. If I didn't, I'd be running around like that headless chicken.

      Pacing ones self is key.

    1. HaHa...you made me think of the teasing I got growing up being a "redhead". One boy kept saying "Red Red I'd rather be dead than red on the head". Funny the things you remember from childhood. Now of course, it's grey, grey...

I do Love red, but perhaps I should try a different color next year.
Molly has her red sweater, but not reindeer ears yet.

  12. Everything looks festive and very pretty! I want a Willow Tree nativity. They are so expensive. My children will have to do that one year! They never go on sale.
