MONDAY ODDS AND ENDS

Our daughter and family stopped by this morning so we had  brunch.  I made a zucchini bacon quiche.

A few slices of the Cinnamon Sour Cream loaf, watermelon and red grapes.

Sunday afternoon I attended a Baby Shower for the daughter of a family that lives at the Villa.  One of the games was to guess how many cookies and cream kisses were in the jar.  I made a wild guess of 122....well the correct amount was 117, so I won the jar!! Have you tried the cookies and cream kisses?

The shower was lovely.  My friend, Priscilla, from the Villa and I went together.  It was a lot of fun and a little boy is coming into the family soon.
Saturday we had the pleasure of going to a tournament for Issac and Matthew (Our great grandsons)  Issac and Grandpa.

Grandma with Matthew.  He had finished his division and had  a Popsicle when I grabbed him for a picture.  I'm sure it was good.  It sure gave him rosy lips.  HaHa

Hope you are having a good day, and will have a great week!

    1. I'm trying to pack 27 years of living away from them to as much as I can cram in the years we have left. Loving every minute of it.
I'm so glad you get some sister time. Yeah.

    1. Thanks. I have decided I like zucchini quiche better than spinach. It was good.

I'm not a big chocolate fan...(I know that's a sin, but I can't help it) So I sent most of them home with Julie...and I'll keep the rest for guests. I will try one tomorrow so I can see for myself if they taste like cookies and cream.

  4. What a good guesser! We once went to a church picnic where the Teals took home most of the candy filled jars. I'd found a method that worked and they all tried it. Too many Candy Jars

    1. Do you share your method? I was joking around like I was calculating, and just came off with that number. The gal next to me said 500 and that sounded way too many...so I went the other direction...It paid off. haHa

  8. I've never tried quiche, but if it has bacon, I'd give it a taste. I've never had the cookies and cream kisses either but I'm sure I would like'em.

    1. Bonne ~ I guess I fall in the category of a Cookie solves all problems...or a quiche, or a coffeecake. HaHa.. I try to always express joy...even if my heart is breaking. Joy is from the Lord ~ not circumstances. Love and hugs.
