FROM THE RITZ TO A MIXING BOWL

This morning poor Freddie was reduced from his Ritz Townhouse Fishbowl to my mixing bowl.  When I was changing the water and washing his fancy pedestal fishbowl I broke it.  I have been so careful washing it every couple of days, but for some reason it just hit the counter when I was drying it and "CRACK" and it was gone.

I have a tiny fish bowl I put him in when I change the water, but it's not even a studio for heaven's sake.   So started looking through my bowls and this is the only glass one I have.  It's a heavy duty mixing bowl, and not very attractive but will have to do until I go shopping.

A new bowl for Freddie is on the top my shopping list.

  6. Sometimes when you're moving to a new place, you have to rough it a few days while the details are being worked out. lol....At least there's still room service!

  8. get one soon Wanda, they are known to jump out while you are out, it happened in an aquarium my brother-in-law had, he keeps it somehow covered now.

    1. I had a jumping goldfish, but so far Freddie (a beta fish) has not been much of a jumper. He does in fact let me rub his back.

  9. Well it doesn't look like he's hit Skid Row quite yet. Poor Freddie - what's a fish to do? He will need extra petting, for sure!
My cousin had a jumper goldfish which I found out the hard way when I changed his water. He leapt out of the smaller bowl as soon as I'd left the kitchen for a few minutes. Fortunately I heard a funny noise, returned, and scooped him up and he was none the worse for wear. But from then on I used a mesh splatter screen that you put over fry pans, when I changed him.
Oh what we go through for fin, feather, fur friends!

    1. No I don't put him in a rusty old pan...HaHa. I had a goldfish that jumped out of a bowl, but as I was telling Christine, he doesn't seem to be much of a jumper, but rather a dossal little guy and lets me rub his back. We taking a trip over to a big Thrift Store today (Tuesday ~Senior Discount) and maybe I'll hit a bargain and a new fish bowl.
