SUNDAY SKETCHES WITH ALEXANDRA

When I decided to sketch and paint all of my little mouse statues of the days of the week, it has turned into quite a project.  I'm not as happy with Miss Tuesday, as I was Monday wash day.  But rather than labor doing it over, I'll just share our little mouse doing her ironing on Tuesday.  Will begin working on Wednesday now...wonder what Miss Mouse does on Wednesday's....you'll find out soon.

To see all the artists and their Sunday Sketches, just click on the "Tree Badge" on my sidebar.

  1. You know you are leaving a bit of yourself that your children will treasure. I hope you have these hung all over your precious home. My mama's paintings were in every room. I've got to get mine out so my grandchildren will have the same memories I have enjoyed.

    1. That's a good word Bonnie... I do have some of my larger painting hanging in our home....I hope to make a story out of Miss Mouse and how she spent her week. Thanks for your visit and your friendship, girlfriend. Hugs.

  4. Oh I love your little mouse. I'd love to have her iron for me. HeHe. I saw your lovely Fall post. And I love your Fall background. Please come over and link your Fall themed post at The Fabulous Fall linky party. I think its just under the sketch. There is also a button on the sidebar that will take you directly. Come share your lovely post. Oh and so sweet of your 'sweets' to get out the decorations for you.
    Have a wonderful week.

    1. I would give anything to have a set of these in kitchen towels. Perhaps I should make them into transfer. I wonder if I remember how to embroider. It's been years. I learned on pillowcases.

  9. Hi Wanda. Thanks for coming by. Yes I did love your start. I love your background too. The Fall party will go to Halloween Week. I'll be doing a Quilt Trunk Show that week and then the 1 Day Halloween. I just didn't want to include Halloween. I wanted to be able to screen posts hence my reposting instead of opening a linky.
Nov. 1 will begin Thanksgiving Theme until noon on Thanksgiving Day. Then Santa Claus comes to town!
Hope you'll come along. I have a few other surprises in the next few weeks. The linky will change each Monday afternoon so it'll stay fresh. Invite friends over the more the merrier! XXOO.

    1. Hi Mandy. It all started a few weeks ago with Creative Tuesday and the theme Picnic. I remembered my little mice figurines and the Sunday one was Picnic on a mushroom eating cookies. Then I decided to do all of them. Monday was on Sunday Sketches. And I plan to show the rest of them on Sunday Sketches. Wednesday just needs paint and she'll be done.

    1. I was such a girly girl, I had all those household toys too. I think learning from a mom who was sweet, but organized helped form the woman I am today.
