SISTER TRIP ~ THE OCEAN

From our delicious breakfast we traveled on to Santa Cruz where we walked the Board Walk and took in the sights.  The ocean, the roller coaster (viewed~didn't ride) HaHa.  People everywhere as it was the last days before the start of school.

As we drove to Monterey where we had booked our hotel we saw a mother deer and her two fawns.  I took it from the car so it's a little blurry.

Celebrating Donna's 80th Birthday in style.  The Beach House restaurant in Pacific Grove.  She had the Salmon and I was feeling adventurous so tried the Sand-Dab Almondine.  We added a glass of wine and enjoyed the good food, and sharing our lives and catching up on all our grandkids and our "greats".  She had a new one 2 months old.

I have one more collage of a stop we made on the way home and a few pictures I took at the cemetery where my parents are buried.  I'll save that for another day.   Don't want to overwhelm you!

  1. How great to spend this time together with your Sis. Fun!
I love the BIG bear, being near water, delicious food and a new grandbaby. What more could one want?
Oh. And gargoyles... ya gotta have gargoyles!

    1. HaHa,, I was thinking....how in the world would you get that bear home if you won it...
Those gargoyles were pretty scary... it was a haunted house, and the line to get in for forever...not for us old gals. tee hee.

    2. The name Sand dabs. made me think it was going to taste gritty...but the waitress said it was a mild flaky white fish....and it was good.

Don and Molly did good, and Don now has a new relationship with my fish, Freddie. HaHa

    1. Linda, I am blessed. I was estranged from my brother for many years, but several years before his death, we had a good relationship. My sister on the other hand, as I mentioned to Laurie...was like my mom, the sweetest sister ever.
