NEW STOVE AND A WHOLE LOT MORE

  • I loved Betsy's vintage white pots, so I took a start from my Creeping Charlie and put it in a milk glass bowl in my swivel hutch.  Thanks for the idea.
  • I have a Rooster guarding my Creeping Charlie on the balcony. HaHa
  • My baggy gypsy pants from the Thrift Store.  Really comfortable.
  • My New Hotpoint stove ~ Yeah!
  • Large burners, and a oven that works!!!
  • It's brand new and Willie our Maintenance man had it in within minutes.
  • The cookie sign is out.
  • The batch of cookies from the new oven turned out evenly  cooked, no burn bottoms, soft and chewy.  Just the way the kids like them.
PS If you didn't read Suza's little story in her comment yesterday, you need too.  It's a hoot, and I'm still laughing!!!

  1. Suza's story was so cute! Your cookies look delicious and I know the residents were appreciative. Your plant looks pretty in the milk glass dish. Your pants look cool and comfy for baking. Hope you have a nice day.

    1. She should write the stories, and I'll illustrate them. HaHa. It's already started out a good day.

  3. Gas stove Yeah! I hate electric stoves. Our house is all electric, but the builder ran a propane gas line for our fireplaces and the stove. Saved us some money because I would have had to do that.
I need to grow a Creeping Charlie, haven't had one in years.

    1. I love gas...I've only had to use electric stove years ago. This has really nice large burners, and that oven worked great!! If you were closer... I'd send you a cutting....they are sure sturdy.

  4. We love cooking with gas. I cannot imagine you with an oven that does not work. ツ

    1. Love gas too. The old oven worked...just not the way it should have...it didn't regulate the heat to the setting...so I was always adjusting so I wouldn't burn things. Yeah for a new stove.

    2. This is an upgrade from the old stove (it was the original stove so it was 11 years old.) This one is much nicer.
I liked you idea so much...and it looks real nice in the hutch.

  6. A new stove is very exciting! I remember when I got mine and now baked on the shortest time in the recipe instead of the longest. Hope you make lots and lots of cookies with that beauty.

  7. You have it ALL! With the thousands of cookies you bake, a dependable oven is a must!
I have been resting or in bed all day recovering from a week of grandchildren. I think I used every drop of energy I had! I may private message you later.....I need a friend to talk to.

    1. Sweet Linda, I've had you on my mind all week as I know you have just worn yourself out doing wonderful and loving care of your quads...I know you're younger than me, but boy I get worn out faster now. I use to go 90 MPH all the time. I would love to chat with you. Anytime. Sending love and hugs.

  8. Love the variety of photos. Those pants look so comfy but they're also pretty. Sometimes comfy and pretty aren't synonymous :-)
Your rooster is a good security addition. You never know how far Creeping Charlies will creep!
Yay stove, and Yay cookies. They look perfect. Can just taste that warm, melted chocolate.

    1. I think those pants will be real good for my trip. I must admit, the cookies were really good. I loved that the bottom didn't get too dark and they baked all the way through.
Hope you have a great weekend. Sending hugs

  9. That new hotspot stove of yours is just glorious! It seems to work very well, enough to do be excellent for its purpose and job. Now, you'll get to bake a lot more of them, and make them more scrumptious than ever. Cheers!
