TUESDAY TIDBITS

When we moved here last year, my iris had three leaves.  Look at it now.  I hope I have a iris bloom next year.

How I love our son Myk.  We had so much fun visiting at the Birthday Pool Party.  He has the greatest sense of humor.  Keeps me laughing all the time.

In previous posts I've shared how proud I am of Myk and the daughter of our hearts, Chelenne and the boys they have raised.  She home schooled them for years, and is now a teaching aid working for her degree.  She's rather bashful about taking her picture, but I wanted you to meet her.  I think she looks to young to have have college age boys.

This is Cornia.  She is the daughter of our Resident Manager here at the Villa.  She just turned 19 and wants me to teach her to bake and cook.  This was our first lesson.....cookies of course.  She did so good.  I laughed as her mother said her new Birthday List was a mixer and a chopper.   I got her the little food chopper as she loves to add nuts to her cookies.  Next lesson ~ Banana Bread!

I am missing this little guy so much.  It seem like our trip to Oregon was years ago, and it was just last Easter.  But he's growing so fast, and today Jill said he's Mr. Independent and wants to put on his own clothes or run around naked.   That's our boy!!! HaHa

Just a few tidbits for this Tuesday.  Hope your week is going good.

  1. Tanned and handsome Myk, and Chelenne is sooooo pretty! And of course you are too. :-)
Irises are some of my favourite flowers, especially purple ones.
Can I sign up for cooking/baking classes too? How great of you to pass on your wonderful skills. Maybe Cornia can pick up some of the cookie demand in your villa. Maybe they all sent her in as a spy!! Grin.

    1. It was such a very fun weekend with the family and the birthdays. Myk (only son) three daughters, has always been a delight. He shares my artistic creative side and also loves to cook and bake. In fact his vocation is a Graphic Dye Artist. This iris will be purple.
A spy....yes...I will be careful.....should I destroy the secret recipe>>> HaHa. You are fun...

  2. Nothing like a sous chef who wants to learn. What fun!

Your daughter-in-law looks as if she could be her sons' peer. Glad that she allowed herself to be introduced and good for her continuing her education in education. Your son looks like an affable, salt of the earth kind of guy.

    1. Yes, she is a young looking mom. I'm so excited for her to get a degree. With the boys off to college it's the perfect time for her to do it for her, and have a vocation when the nest is completely empty.
To know Myk is to like him. He is that kind of guy.

Oh how my boys love to run through the house naked! Especially after a bath. I can still hear the shrieks of laughter as I chased after them with their pajamas and unders....lol....

  4. Wonderful photo of you and Myk and Chelenne is so lovely. How fun to share your baking skills with such a pretty young lady. She might be the new "Cookie Lady!" I know you both treasure your time together. Mr. Independent is really cute - I can't blame him for wanting to skip clothes in this heat! Love you...have a good night.
