SUNDAY SKETCHES WITH ALEXANDRA

I was in a pottery sketching mood this week and had fun with this one.

Started with pencil and added ink.  Added watercolor for the finished look.   Will call it my "Garden Window".

  1. Very pretty. I can barely draw stick people so I admire those who can draw.

  3. I'm impressed! I wish I had your talent. My mom and her two sisters are all talented artists, but it didn't drift down to me, except maybe in photography. But I, too, can only draw stick figures. Oh well...enjoy your craft! We shall from afar. :)

    1. My daughters tell me the same thing. Our son has the gift and has been a graphic artist for his career.

I think photography is a wonderful form of art, and not everyone has the eye.

    1. Everyone has gifts...how nice that we don't all have the same ones. Your photography leaves me breathless many times, and you have to have an special eye to do your kind of photography. Ha Ha, I'm a point and shoot, and hope for good results.

    1. Thanks so much Linda. Do you just do your oils without sketching something...does it all come from your wonderful mind? I'm so glad you get to have some time at the ranch. HAVE FUN.

    1. Hi dear ~ I have to agree, greenery just does bring life to a lifeless picture. I like the view too. I forgot to put a top on my window....HaHa.. Oh well.

    2. I kind of like it without the top - less enclosed. Leaves to the imagination how high the window is, whether it has a valance, is there a lacy overhang...

    3. I love your perspective....see it wasn't a mistake after all. I think if you look real carefully you might just see that lacy overhang. I love how you think.....hugs.
