SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE

When I sat down to have my Sunday morning coffee and devotional from the new book Kris gave me the other night, I saw that I was all color coordinated with my aqua cup.

I had been hearing about this book from several people but did not know exactly what it contained.  If you are familiar you know it's daily reading for the year that are Scriptures put into thoughts as if Jesus was talking to you personally.

Reminds me a lot of my Maranatha Worship Bible.   I've only read a few, but they are short and to the point, and a Scripture reading is added at the end of each one.

We are going to late service today, so I'm enjoying my coffee in my nightgown and a little blog time.  Hope you have a super Sunday.

Had you heard of this book?

  1. I've had it for a few years and read it occasionally. I think you will enjoy it. I have given a few copies to friends. Blessings on this Sunday morning. Our church has services on Saturday night, too so we are here enjoying a lovely morning.

    1. I have a few other books I've used for years, but fun to try something new...they are very short so that makes it easy to read... Enjoy your day...Hugs.

  3. Love that aqua color. I bought a secondhand book called Notes from the Universe which is along the same lines. It's supposed to be God speaking to you, but I'm not really liking it because I can't see God using slang. Just doesn't seem right to me. Have a lovely day. Tammy

    1. I would have trouble with that too. But I think whatever gets someone reading and praying is good. We are all so different but God never changes. Have a great Sunday and week, Hugs.

    1. Kris is such a sweetheart. You would love her. The balcony is so nice early in the morning. Later in the day since they pruned the trees we get a little more sun than I like. (not complaining....haha)

  6. I have a brown leather copy of Jesus Calling.
I've heard mixed reviews, but did find it encouraging when I was reading it. Maybe I'll have to take another look.
