ODDS AND ENDS

When I saw this cloud pattern, I thought of prayers like incense rising to heaven.  Do you see the prayers....?

Molly had her annual check up this week with a new Veterinarian.  I had to smile when we walked into the examination room and the white board was welcoming Molly!

The report after the examination was "Excellent Condition"...that was good news for our Molly who is a senior at 11 years old.

Can a friendship last a life time...We are proof.  Met Kris when I was 3 and she was 4.  Lived across the street for 18 years, went to Biola College together.  I married a preacher and Don and I have spend our live in ministry.  Kris married Ted and they have spent their lives with Wycliffe Bible Translation, and over their ministry translated the New Testament into the Zapotec language.
They live in Tucson, so don't get to see them often, but last night we had the chance to be together.  I look at this picture and see two happy, giggly little girls.

I have a new friend that comes every day to the balcony and sits a while.

This is "SUGAR" our great grandsons cat.  Just beautiful.   I hadn't seen a long haired Calico cat in years.  Look at those eyes.

Well that's my odds and ends for today.  Have a great weekend.

  2. Hi Wanda, So very happy that Molly got a great report! She is so cute.
Your friendship with Kris is much like mine with childhood friend, Amy. Our faces always hurt after being together from laughing!
Sugar is a pretty cat. Wish I could feel her soft fur.
Wishing you a blessed evening and Sunday. xo

    1. She has a few allergies, but they gave us medication for that. She's a happy little camper.

Isn't Sugar cute...I'm not sure if its a girl or boy, but the fur was so so soft.

  4. Good news for my sweet Molly. She is a dear.
It is soooooo hot and muggy today. Dave and I were just out and picked the last of the plums. I am cutting them up and freezing them. You are welcome to some when we see you in Oct. Maybe you can teach me to make some plum jam..:) I am just relaxing before fixing a early supper. Got a roasted chicken from Costco and need to eat it up before it goes bad.
Thanks so much for the compliment on my blog photos. Those were from our trip to Oregon when we saw mark.
I do agree that those clouds are many prayers going up for our nation.

    1. Still muggy? So sorry...hate that kind of heat.

Oh yes, I would love some plums in October. Maybe we could make a few jars in Tahoe. That would be fun. I'll take my "canning" stuff.

Yes...do we need a lot of prayer. My only hope is I know the end of the story and we WIN.

  6. I see it! What very cool clouds!

What a fun way to greet the patients! Makes the parents feel good, too, I'm thinking!

That is a gorgeous kitty! Aw.

  7. So glad to hear Molly got a clean bill of health. She and Jingles are the same age. You have been fortunate lately to meet up with several lifetime friends. You two look great. And that Sugar is very pretty and looks very sweet. Have a good day. Tammy

    1. What kind of dog/cat is Jingles? Yes meeting Judy at the Fruit Yard cafe, and now Kris. Truly a blessing from above. We have a million stories, Kris and me...could write a book.

    1. We had cats for years...then came grandchildren and several are allergic.....really allergic, so we opted to just have a small dog. Molly fits the bill.

  9. What a great way to welcome a pet and owners - very sweet. I am glad Molly is good for another few thousand miles! Beautiful cat - I am a huge cat lover. And I know what you mean about close friends. Two of my dearest friends I have known since we were 12. Very special to have that in ones life. I like your flutterby guest!
