RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS ADVENTURE ~ WEEK 4

This is our last week for joining in the Random Act of Kindness Adventure hosted by Betsy at My Five Men.
Try as I might, it seems most of my RAK's involve food.  Twice a month we have a coffee social in the morning at the Clubhouse.  The staff provide donuts or bagels, but never had any homemade goods.

I asked the manager if I could bring some Banana Bread to the next social which was this morning.

I got a big "Thank You" for this act of kindness and everyone seemed to enjoy it.  Yesterday I saw the the maintenance man, Willie's door was open, so I left a bag of cookies and several slices of banana bread by his coffee cup.  A nice surprise when he came back into his office.

This has been another way of living our the verse in the Bible that says "think of others more highly than yourself".   Thanks Betsy for another wonder series of RAK's.

To see all the other participants just click on Betsy's name and enjoy reading about how much kindness was shared this week.

  1. Banana bread with drizzle!!! Who wouldn't want that! I'm sure the ladies really love it and Willie....you were a little elf sneaking yummy goodies on his desk. I love it! Being friendly and sharing can open so many doors, don't you think?

Thanks for joining in on my adventure, Wanda! I appreciate your participation and inspiration with your kind acts!

    1. Oooooh, I just love banana bread. Maybe Willie needs a helper? A very lovely RAK, Wanda. And honestly I think food is such a natural gift to think of. Aside from the deliciousness of it, it's so wonderful to share and chat and make new friends over food.

    2. Thanks Eddie...they are lovely ladies too.

Suza ~This loaf was especially good, as I added some chopped dates and it made it so moist. You couldn't taste the dates, but they added to it real nice.

Giving away baked goods has been a way of life for as many years as I can remember.

  9. Wanda, those are awesome RAKs.
The surprises I know were so appreciated.
We went over to some dear friends home last night for dinner. We had never been there before. I knew it was Julie's birthday today so I bought her a tulip plant and I got an airplane coloring book and pens for her son Samuel who has Downs Syndrome. The look on his sweet face when he opened the box was priceless. It was an after-thought on my part but the perfect RAK for him. He is the best Hugger in the world......
The tulips are, I found out, her favorite flower and she was surprised that I knew it was her birthday. RAKs just make me feel good.

  10. I made some cinnamon rolls to serve when my church circle met at my home Thursday evening. Thought of you as I drizzled the drizzle on them! :-)
