A FRIDAY BOUQUET

A flowerbed of Iris graced our home in Sunland.  They were bulbs planted from Grandma Frankie's yard when she passed away.  Each of us took some so we could keep her memory alive through her beloved Iris.  When we moved to the "Tree House" there is no  private yard, only the balcony.  I put several bulbs in this pot, and ONE made it.  I'm very excited as it continues to grow!! Will it bloom?  That is the question.  I hope so.

This morning I was "mooned" by a dove!!!

After some pleading... I got a better shot!  The trees are so full of leaves now...makes for a shady balcony.

More flowers are blooming in the complex and it makes for a nice walk in the morning with my camera.

I love the variety of colors ~ lavender.
 Pinks

Yellows

I hope this Friday the 13th turns out to be your lucky day, and perhaps you might even get a Friday Bouquet!!

  1. I guess that dove is giving you the "bums up" instead of the "thumbs up" signal - hee hee! Beautiful flowers, Wanda. No such thing here yet but maybe today I will buy some fresh cut ones to brighten things up a bit. Purple iris are one of my favourite flowers - hope it blooms for you.

    1. It may not bloom this year...but I certainly will try to keep it healthy for next, and if and when it begins to multiply will get a large pot and repot some.

  6. the green leaves are lovely, the colorful flowers are even better! I am just content to look at brown grass and no snow. Although we had a sure sign of spring this morning....a skunk running around and stinking up our back yard.

Better to be mooned by a mourning dove than a neighbor...THAT would be something for Friday the 13th.
    Beautiful flowers, Wanda. xo Diana

    1. Oh my, had it been my neighbor, not so sure I would have been brave enough to get the picture, or post it....HaHaHa.

I'm hoping that one lone Iris will have lots of baby bulbs.

  11. Thanks Lauie ~ We off the 605 Freeway near Covina. Today it was really hot...90's for a while this afternoon. Has cooled off this evening. The surge of warm weather is rushing the spring flowers.
