VALENTINE/BIRTHDAY PARY

Thursday was the "February Birthdays and Valentine Party" at the Clubhouse.  The tables were decorated and the Potluck was very tasty.

The kids aways have fun, and they had a room full of balloons to play with.

This is one of my little "boy friends" who lives in the complex.

They hired a Latin Singer to entertain us, and also show us some dance moves!

Most of the people had left, so some of us gals got out on the floor and had a blast.  None of us were very good, and as you can see, none of us were "teenagers"...this is a Senior Complex..HaHa.  But I'm getting to know the women, and it's great that some of them speak English, even though the biggest percentage is Hispanic, next would be the Asian..and then me and Don ~HaHa!  But we really enjoy living here.  I felt like I was back at my Zumba class.

We know that this is just the place God planted us, so we try to let our light shine in our little corner of the world.

    1. Hey Linda. Hope you and LD are both feeling better. Life is a choice...we can live it up and PTL, or be on a downer... I chose UP....

    1. When you get in the winter of life, every day is a bonus. So many of my dear friends are no longer with us. So I Love my Lord, try to please him every day...and do loving life and "dancing" a little.

  10. Shake it or you Lose it! Hee hee. What a wonderful community you have.

I had a great time last night at a Mardi Gras concert with wonderful old Gospel music - In the Sweet Bye and Bye; When the Saints; Down by the Riverside; What a Friend we Have in Jesus; Will the Circle be Unbroken - great tunes.

The band is Ken Whiteley & Friends - his brother Chris is on trumpet and son Ben plays double bass. There was an eight-piece group last night. There are many YouTube clips of them but here's one that I think you will love!
