QUICK, EASY AND TASTY

Worked on my Women's Bible Study lesson, ran some errands, stripped the bed and put on clean sheets and somewhere in there didn't give a thought to dinner.

Looked in the refrigerator and found a onion, red and yellow bell peppers, mushrooms and spinach.  I had a can of Roast Beef from Costco, half a jar of Alfredo sauce and some pasta.

Sauteed the onions, peppers and mushrooms ~added the beef and spinach.

Put it on a bed of pasta coated with a little of the Alfredo sauce and it was a Quick, Easy and Tasty dinner.

After years of baking with just a little hand mixer, I'm getting the knack of my new "powerful" KitchenAid.  The first batch of cookies I made with it were almost liquefied.  Turn that baby on and before you know it your cookie dough looks like soup before adding the flour.   No so today, I made sure I had it on the right speed for the right length of time and these chocolate chip cookies turned out perfect.  I'm brewing a pot of decaf and my dearest will try one.   I will try "another" one, as the cook has to taste the first one to make sure it's good.  Right?  HaHa.

Hope you had a lovely Saturday, and enjoy your Sunday!   Our forecast is rain.  That would be nice.

  1. You have discovered a new recipe - cookie soup! Oooo - that dinner looks very tasty. And of course so do the cookies. I am having leftover Chinese food. Waited 30 minutes for the bus tonight so I am frozen solid. Might have a nice cup of green tea with dinner.

Love the look of those cookies...and I always say the cook must sample everything just to make sure it's ok for others to eat! haha.

Don't you LOVE your big mixer? I use mine all the time. I think I burned 2 or 3 hand mixers up over the years before I got the Mama Mixer. lol

  6. Today is what I call a "piddley" day. We didn't really accomplish much of anything.
My knee ached so badly from setting up, serving and clean up of Celebrate Recovery last night. Sometimes that floor gets me from kind of standing and not remembering to flex now and then.
Oh I did clean a kitchen cupboard that has been haunting me for a while and got caught up on the mess in the kitchen.
Tonight I made sweet and sour pork and noodles. It was kind of a clean out the fridge dinner too, but it sure tasted good.
No sun at all today. Dull gray and chilly. Maybe some sprinkles tomorrow but it's suppose to be windy. Not my favorite kind of Sunday weather. Chris Brown is speaking. I'm looking forward to that.
Do you remember Andrew McCourt? He is the Irish pastor that spoke when you visited one time. Well he is now going to be a teaching pastor on staff at Bayside. I think it's going to be a great fit for us.
By the way, your cookies look divine.
Hugs to your Dearest and to you too.

  7. It all looks good and tasty to me. Myself, I still use a little hand mixer. Probably wouldn't know how to handle that big mixer. Like I said about three of our daughters have one like you got. I forget the colors, I think one has red, one has green and one is stainless steel, I think. Have a great Sunday.
