ODDS AND ENDS

Have you tried the white chocolate M&M's in the Spring Colors?

This morning a bagel with cream cheese and homemade berry jam on the balcony was extra good.  Can you see the reflection of the trees in my phone?

Which animal is real?  Teddy, Bunny or Molly?  Caught her napping in our bed.

Our daughter gave us a Harry David gift basket for Christmas and it had a Potato/Corn Chowder mix that I tried this week.  Just add a chopped onion 2 cloves of garlic to the mix, and after 30 minutes of simmering, add a packet and a couple cups of half and half.

It was delicious and gave me a chance use the yellow ruffle soup bowls I had just unpacked for Spring.

  1. Good Morning, Wanda. It would be lovely to enjoy breakfast on your balcony with a canopy of trees overhead! I will have to look for the M&M's. I've already been spying the Reese's peanut butter eggs! Molly looks so sweet enjoying your bed. Your chowder looks very tasty. I tried making potato/cheese/kielbasa soup in the crockpot this past week. I like the idea of using a packet (like yours) to make the process simpler! Enjoy the weekend.

  3. Aw...Molly, so cute. You sent my boys a conductor that is very similar to that bear! They still have him on their row of desks with all the rest of their favorite things!

Soup sounds wonderful...along with those new-to-me white chocolates!

    1. Isn't she sweet. I do remember that cute Conductor bear. So glad the boys still enjoy it. You may remember the story of my teddy. Elijah gave it to me when he was 7 and thought he had outgrown it. He's 18 now, and that teddy has been on my bed since he gave it to me.

  4. Sounds good, but anymore I have to leave most of the garlic in a recipe out, it really upsets my stomach and makes me feel half sick for quite a while. I use to love garlic. I love potato soup with lost of potatoes in it. A little place here in town has a good potato soup, we go there now and then. Have a great week-end.

    1. So far garlic does't bother me, but anything real spicy sure does.

I have a wonderful homemade potato soup that was my mom's recipe.

  5. Not a big fan of white chocolate, too buttery tasting. Your soup sounds delicious and it's still so cold here that a warm cup of soup in a bright yellow bowl would make the day a bit warmer.

    1. These are rather buttery come to think of it. Mainly I wanted something pretty and colorful in the candy dish.

    1. I wish I had the whole set, but I have 2 dinner plates, two salad plates, 2 dessert plates, 2 bowls and 2 mugs. Since it just me and my dearest... I guess that's enough.

  9. Your dog is cute tucked under the covers. Sometimes I add corn to my potato soup recipe. I have searched for years (in vain) for a corn soup recipe that a restaurant served in Tulsa many, many years ago. Your tulips header is just gorgeous.
