IT'S BROKEN IN....

White chocolate chip walnut cookies were the first thing I made with my new KitchenAid.  Wow!  I was amazed at the power, and how quickly the dough was ready to put on the cookie sheet.

As my routine, most of them have been given away.  Willie the maintenance man will get a  bag when he comes to fix the fan over the stove. ~~ The landscaper got a bag, and a plate of cookies went with me to Women's Bible Study yesterday.

Thank goodness the cookie jar is almost empty as Don and I were able to fine a YMCA a few miles away that honors our "Silver Sneekers" insurance plan, so we can go free.   Don wants to try the water activities as he has a shoulder that bothers him, and I want to get back into the classes of exercise, balance and zumba gold.

Woke up at 6:00 this morning and felt rested, so slipped out of bed, made a cup of coffee and have half of my Bible Study done, the house clean,  and Freddie's fishbowl has fresh water.  Amazing what I can do if I get up early.

How is your day going?

    1. It's been a good morning. Now I have time on my hands....what should I do? HaHa. I did start a book I've had for a long time by Elisabeth Elliot called Be Still my Soul. Now I need to run out and get some half and half and stamps. Have some cards to mail out. Have a great day Susie.

  2. Dear Wanda, It is wonderful that you and your hubby are going to the Silver Sneakers. It is just good for circulation and fun too. It is too cold to take walks here and also much too slippery so I try to do some indoor at home exercise.
The mixer is wonderful. My brother gave me one a few years back and I just love it. I hope you make lots of wonderful recipes and enjoy using it.
I am sure everyone was happy to have the cookies. xoxo Catherine xo

    1. We were members before we moved, and really enjoyed the exercise and the friendships I made.

Loving my new mixer. Love giving away the goodies. Best of both worlds. Thanks for the visit.

    1. Hey Linda...you slipped through the cracks.. I thought I had responded to everyone.
I was surprised how powerful this mixer is having used a hand mixer for so many years. The cookie keep jumping into my hand...glad when they are ALL gone.

    1. I do love it...but it seems all the recipes I want to try are so so full of calories...yikes. Maybe I'll try a loaf of bread.
It is more blessed to give than to receive...cause I would be receiving it on my hips... haha

  6. Sounds like you had a wonderful day! It's so dark and cold here in the early morning that I could sleep and sleep. Except I have to get up so Emma won't be downstairs sitting alone int he dark before the school bus comes.

  8. Yummers, those cookies look delightful. You are definitely "The Cookie Lady" at the Villas too.
How's my day? Slow this morning. I just can't seem to get the body in gear today
I am looking forward to having lunch with a wonderful new friend that has joined our Small Group. She and I have hit it off so well. Melody is the director of Career Coaching at our church. One sharp Lady! She used to be very high up in management at HP.
Wish we could find a YMCA near us too. Need to get these creaky bones moving. Dr. wants me to have physical therapy for my knee but $30.00 for every visit is too much for us to pay. Okay, enough whining. Have a great rest of your day. ((hugs))

    1. Sue ~ TRUTH is not whining!! That is terrible that they want so much for ONE treatment. I have been so blessed already this morning reading Elizabeth Elliot's book "Be Still my Soul" She covered something this morning I've struggled with for years....an her answer we so simple..I almost fell off my chair...God was good to use her to speak to me this morning. I love how God works.

I'm excited about your new friend Melody. Don and I are meeting new friends at our church too. Maybe you don't need to get in gear today...just enjoy your chair and computer. Love and Hugs

    2. Melody and I had a wonderful time. Talk about gabbing solid for over one hour. We really think alike. There are promises of many more special "Girl" times together.

  9. My husband and I are both members, but so far, health issues have prevented our using it much. I think those cookies look so yummy. I don't bake enough to justify buying that beautiful mixer.
