HAPPY BIRTHDAY JON

One of our delights in life is celebrating the birthdays of our dozen grandchildren.  We have at least one birthday a month except November ~ somehow we missed that month.  Elijah was January. February is JON's month and we celebrate his 14th birthday.

It seems like yesterday he and Nick were spending the night almost every Saturday...baking cookies, going to the Dollar Store and Church with us.  Gone are those days...they grow up, they don't find baking cookies that fun, they don't fit on the couch, (HaHa) and their lives move on.  I'm glad, you want them to grow and mature and become the men and woman God wants them to be.

So Happy Birthday Jon.  You are a blessing to me and Grandpa and have a huge heart and a gift of giving.  I hope your day is blessed and this year brings new and wonderful adventures into your life.

  2. Happy birthday to Jon! A very handsome grandson. They do grow up way too quickly. You have great memories with him, and I'm sure there will be more to come.

  3. Wanda, Wishing Jon a happy birthday. I laughed about him being to long for the sofa. :):) They grow too fast...so we better hug , kiss and squeeze them all we can, when we can. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. I have a standard size couch and a love seat. The older brother Nick would take the long couch and Jon the love seat...Now they are taller than both.

    1. Such fun memories, Betsy. Making cupcakes and frosting them for Easter in the back yard. Our frequent trips to the Dollar Store... I will always treasure those, and make new one.

  8. Happy Birthday Jon. You may not like to bake cookies anymore, but I bet you wouldn't turn down some fresh baked cookies. Never to old for that.
